In order to reach all points on the site without damaging the trees, the contractor had to use a concrete pump truck with a giant arm on it. Here is a look at the controller for the pump arm.

6:45am I had to sketch out a quick graphic image for my annual “ What to Get an Architect for Christmas ” post. A Christmas ornament seemed Christmas-y enough so I sketched it up, took a picture of it with my phone, brought it into Photoshop where I added some color, and then *BOOM* … the graphic was created.

Now that I am going to have job site meetings this winter in the snowy hell known as North Wisconsin, this might be the most important gift on my list. Since half of my sketches are total clunkers, the cahier journals seem just a bit more forgiving.
