Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, the AE firm Gresham Smith had a client in Tennessee that was in the process of consolidating 1,000 of its employees into an office building that already had 1,000 of its workers. This client “would never have discussed the words ‘free addresses’ or ‘shared desking,’” says Jack Weber, IIDA, LEED AP, the firm’s Senior Vice President and Design Principal.

After completing some very interesting projects we worked on in 2019 and 2020, we have published some images on our updated and expanded website. The projects include the renovation of Villa Gerolimich from 1956 in Grado, Italy and the expansion of the Genießerrestaurant at the Döllerer Genusswelten in Golling, Austria. Our website got a total makeover, a new page with a more detailed overview of our projects and new images.

Demand for design services in April saw its steepest decline on record, according to a new report today from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score of 29.5 for April reflects a decrease in design services provided by U.S. architecture firms (any number below 50 indicates a decrease in billings).
