Image Courtesy of RIBA The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awarded its 2024 International Prize to Modulus Matrix , an 85-unit social housing development in Cornellà, near Barcelona. Designed by Peris + Toral Arquitectes , the six-story timber-framed building is a notable example of innovative social housing design.

British designer Tom Dixon has collaborated with Greek studio A31 Architecture on Aimasia Residence, a villa in Mykonos built around an existing stone wall. Located in the Elia region, the 850-square-metre home was designed by A31 Architecture , with interiors led by Dixon's interior design arm Design Research Studio. The fourth RIBA International Prize has been awarded to the Modulus Matrix: 85 Social Housing complex in Cornellà, Spain by Peris + Toral Arquitectes for 2024. The design arranges five to six modules worth approximately 139 square feet apiece into 85 homes inspired by Japanese design with 18 on each floor. Non-profit Project Mingde has unveiled Duling Educational Centre, a staggered complex topped with roofs that help recycle rainfall into clean water for schoolchildren in rural southern China. The new nursery and community centre stands next to a primary school in the village of Duling in Guangxi, and was built by students from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) as part of an ongoing initiative to tackle poverty in the region.

Austrian studio Delugan Meissl Associated Architects has completed the Expo Cultural Park Greenhouse in China , engulfing a disused steelworks with a mass of curved glass pavilions. The 35-metre-tall greenhouse is one of the main attractions in the newly-opened southern section of the Expo Park, built on the former industrial area of Pudong in Shanghai.

The founders of Spanish studio Takk have added a mobile child's bedroom made of concrete blocks and recycled insulation to their industrial apartment in Barcelona as part of ongoing work on the space. MAD Architects is wrapping up work on their new Lishui (LIJ) Airport in Zhejiang Province, China. The project, which is expected to be delivered by the end of the year, yields an approximately 129,000-square-foot terminal that will help serve an expected five million travelers by the year 2050.
