Arquitectonica has released an update to its previously proposed redevelopment project at 8850 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. HW Studio Arquitectos has completed a cruciform house with open-air corridors and courtyards tucked between locally quarried stone walls in San Miguel de Allende , Mexico. Based nearby in Morelia, HW Studio Arquitectos finished the 250-square metre (2,690-square foot) house, named Casa Enso II, in 2022, drawing on vernacular designs, cultural expression and local history of the Guanajuato region.

A team comprising Orange Architects, Felixx , Ballast Nedam West, and ABT has completed a mixed-use residential scheme in Amsterdam inspired by various natural forms. Titled Jonas and situated on the artificial island of Ijburg, the building is centered around a “concentration of special places” inspired by rocks, islands, forests, beaches, and canyons.

Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto has unveiled a public toilet that incorporates a communal hand-washing basin, as the final instalment of the Tokyo Toilet project. Replacing a toilet block near the Park Hyatt Tokyo hotel in downtown Tokyo, the Fujimoto-designed structure is the 17th toilet built in the city as part of the Tokyo Toilet project. It includes toilets designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winners Toyo Ito , Tadao Ando , Fumihiko Maki and Shigeru Ban.

Japanese architecture and engineering firm Mitsubishi Jisho Design has unveiled details of a sustainable teahouse project at the upcoming Venice Architecture Biennale , which takes place from May 20th to November 26th in what is now its 18th edition. The Veneti-An Tea House prototype is included in the European Cultural Center’ s Time Space Existence exhibition, which runs parallel to the fair in the city's Giardini Marinaressa Gardens.

French studio Olivia Fauvelle Architecture has used glazed tiles and concrete lintels to transform the outbuilding and courtyard of a house in the south of France. The outbuilding has been refurbished and extended to physically connect it to Maison Jericho, the 20th-century stone house to which it belongs in Marseille. Olivia Fauvelle Architecture's aim was to create a "seamless transition" through the garden of the home and better connect the two buildings along the long, narrow plot.

Spanish studio Agora Arquitectura has converted a derelict brick building into a base for a raised timber house on the outskirts of Barcelona. Appropriately named House on a Brick Base, the home is located on an agricultural site that featured an old tool shed and a small red-brick building – both of which were in ruins when Agora Arquitectura discovered the site.
