World's longest desk? Massive, undulating desk accommodates 145 office workers [video]

'New York-based Barbarian Group wanted a collaborative work space--an office where all employees would be able to sit at a desk, but where they could still escape to creative work areas. Clive Wilkinson was the architect who made their vision a reality, according to Business Insider. The desk, made out of 4,400 sf of plywood and one continuous sheet of resin, is so big that all 145 employees can share it.

Located between localities of Eindhoven, Veldhoven and Meerhoven in the Netherlands, the bicycle track is made from 1,000 tons of steel, a 230-foot-tall central pylon, and 24 steel cables. Must see: Student housing complex made with recycled shipping containers

'In less than four hours, a construction team managed to build a two-story house out of six 45-foot-long shipping containers. The building, located in New Haven, Conn., was designed by Christian Salvati and Edsel Ramirez of Marengo Structures. The apartments cost $360,000 to build, and Salvati purchased the lot for $22,500 from Hill Development Corporation.

It's a world record! Largest uninterrupted concrete pour kicks off Wilshire Grand project

'After about 20 hours of continuous pouring, judges from Guinness World Records verified that the concrete pour at the $1 billion Wilshire Grand project in Los Angeles is the largest uninterrupted pour of slurry on record. It took 208 trucks making as many as 10 deliveries each last weekend to complete the pour. In all, 21,000 cubic yards of concrete were poured to form the foundation for the 73-story tower.
