Under state laws designed to remedy a housing shortage, the city has to set aside land for the construction of 250,000 more homes than allowed through existing zoning rules. Measures under consideration by a City Council committee are likely to satisfy the state requirements, the UCLA analysis found. But when analyzing the likelihood of what developers would actually build, researchers found the number of new homes would be far lower.

Michael Maltzan Architecture , Studio Zewde , and Once–Future Office have been named as the team behind a major upcoming reinstallation of the Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) in Ohio. The work will enable a chronological journey through its newly reinterpreted collection brought forth by a curatorial team that has quadrupled in size since 2020. Japanese studio Kengo Kuma and Associates has completed UCCA Clay Museum in China , creating a peaked form clad in handmade ceramic tiles to celebrate the "warmth of craftsmanship". Located in Yixing, the 3,457-square-metre museum is part of a wider masterplan to redevelop the once-industrial area, dubbed the "ceramic capital" of China because of its rich history of pottery production, into a cultural district.
