While women’s baseball isn’t a sport in the Olympic Games, she and her teammates added a silver medal to that collection Aug. 3 at the Women’s Baseball World Cup. When she’s not on the field, the 36-year-old helps design sports facilities as a project architect with Atlanta-based HKS.

Arquitectonica's 8850 Sunset development gets city approval

Arquitectonica has announced that the long-awaited 8850 Sunset Boulevard development has received approval from the City of West Hollywood. The proposed structure will stand 11 stories tall and feature a 90-room hotel, 78 residences, including 16 affordable units, and commercial spaces on the ground level. A breezeway will weave through the building and connect to a park located at the center of the structure.
