Gendo, a new AI visualization platform, has launched today following a $1.1 million investment into the product created by London-based architectural designer George Proud with the help of his colleague and software engineer Will Jones. The platform claims to convert 2D drawings, sketches, or text-based inputs into life-like visualizations. Spending on nonresidential construction nationwide fell 0.1% in May, according to a newly released Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data on the industry. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending now totals $1.21 trillion. Spending declined on a monthly basis in 9 of the 16 nonresidential subcategories.

Architecture studio Jahn has completed a skyscraper in Chicago with two distinct sections, which is one of the last projects designed by studio founder Helmut Jahn. Called 1000M, the 788-foot-tall skyscraper (223 metre) is located at the south end of the Michigan Avenue Historic District near the Chicago lakefront. Austrian architect Jakob Sprenger has installed 1920s plaster medallions above a large sculptural sink as the centre of skincare brand Aesop 's store in Paris. Located within a residential neighbourhood in the district of Ternes in Paris' 17th arrondissement, Sprenger designed the store to "create a feeling of simple domesticity". The space was designed around four 19th-century painted gypsum ceiling medallions that the team found during the initial stages of the project.
