Reiser+Umemoto, RUR Architecture DPC has shared new photos of their recently completed Kaohsiung Port Terminal project in Taiwan’s busiest commercial port. The nearly eight-year construction exemplifies the firm’s conception of “3D Urbanism,” breaking apart the design vertically across three separate datums that carry different functions for passengers and pedestrians as oriented to the existing city grid.

A flagship store and gallery for camera brand Leica has arrived in New York's Meatpacking District , designed by Format Architecture Office with a cream brick-screen facade. The Leica Store and Gallery replaces an "unremarkable" 1950s meat market building that had fallen into disrepair. "At just two stories in height and with a modest street frontage under 20 feet (six metres), the building is also one of the smallest remaining buildings and a rare exception to the neighborhood's upscaling trend

Architecture practice Remix Studio has completed a campus for Futian High School in Shenzhen , designed as a "city in the city" and linked by colourful walkways and bridges. The large campus, which measures over 120,000 square metres, was designed by Remix Studio to challenge the country's typical hermetic educational architecture and create a more open place accessible to the wider community.

Modular furniture, app-operated doors and a self-serve bar are among the experimental ideas being trialled at MM:NT, a mini- hotel in Berlin that will constantly evolve in response to feedback from guests. Australian hotel group TFE Hotels worked with design strategist Philippa Wagner to develop the concept for a compact apartment hotel featuring interiors by architecture firms ACME and BWM that will operate in an ongoing beta mode.

This is scary. Eleven years ago I was on my way to New Zealand for the first time, perhaps the only time. I was full of hope. Visiting my sister and speaking at a BIM conference. I wanted to share my belief that Revit is a thinking tool, like a pencil. That we can use it for self reflection. I am older now and conscious that time is running out. But I remain proud of this work, tentative though it is.
