Located directly uphill from the iconic music venues of the Sunset Strip, LOHA updated a 1939 Hollywood home by opening up the internal layout to a new series of layered indoor-outdoor spaces enclosed by a translucent screen. LOHA created a dynamic home by hybridizing the existing structure with new interventions. Due to the steep incline, the age of the structure, and foundational degradation, the existing home was in critical need of costly structural and shoring upgrades.
