Kania put together a thorough set of drawings that the contractor could easily understand. weeks for wandering around from one to another shapes, then I decided to get back to the first Idea in about 3-4 days before the deadline.

Luckily, I have mediocre Photoshop skills and can fix it … This is the same sketch, I just took out the 4 lines and divided it up into a 5-panel garage door. Whew – Thanks, Photoshop! My eye is telling me that this is a 4-panel 8′-0″ door, and as a result, that scale figure must be around 4′-4″ tall.

In order to reach all points on the site without damaging the trees, the contractor had to use a concrete pump truck with a giant arm on it. The only saving grace, as all the concrete guys were laughing, was that the contractor was standing right next to me and got covered as well. Such a simple yet effective technique.

Our owner is crazy awesome in that he really cares about the design process and keeps asking questions that pushes the design and invariably causes changes.
