The rare bit of random cartoon sketching on my phone reminded me of the wonderful books my son Joe produced in his early teens. The faded pencil work loses much of its vitality when digitised but I have had a couple of attempts at enhancing them in Photoshop. So many unfinished projects.

As I write on my submission board, I always had an image of a hollow tree house since I read Enid Blyton’s book when I was 9. What software did you use to create your submission board? I still think sketch up is way easier, but just for 3d views. If I had staff, I would probably design in sketch up, and have “them” do the plans… too bad my staff can’t draw. I attach a photo of my staff Kyle J Marsh I love seeing the design come together like this.

In one part of the tour, these sorts of construction drawings are put up on the wall as a sort of wallpaper and I couldn’t wait ( for the first time ever ) to get to the gift shop at the end of the tour, only to be disappointed that almost nothing of what I wanted to see was included in any of the books made available.
