In 2021 there are still only 2% registered black architects in AIA, no matter that the 2022 Pritzker went to Burkino Faso architect Diébédo Francis Kéré, the first ever black architect to receive this honor in the 43 years since the creation of this prize. I believe that architecture students ought to experience a design-and-build studio.
