One of the very first sketches I ever published on Life of an Architect was the section sketch of the master bathroom shower in my own house. The two people in that sketch are some of the architectural scale figures that I use all the time. Architects and designers frequently use scale figures to help illustrate scale.

You can get smaller sizes of this exact lightbox, but the larger is best for an architect who likes to sketch, draw or design in a non-digital format. This is also a fairly portable item because it is so thin.

Just a few months after 12-year-old Tamir Rice was brutally shot and killed by Cleveland police officers, the community came together to build a butterfly garden on the site of his murder. Between 2015 and 2020, the garden served as a quiet memorial. Artists created stencils used to decorate the bollards with “Young Black King Tamir.”
