You don’t dig these holes and then leave them open so the contractor only drills piers that he is prepared to complete on the same day. This is the foundation plan for this project – beautifully rendered by the contractor. Here’s a look at the rebar cages sitting in the holes. Fascinating? Concrete Foreman : Yes.

In order to reach all points on the site without damaging the trees, the contractor had to use a concrete pump truck with a giant arm on it. The only saving grace, as all the concrete guys were laughing, was that the contractor was standing right next to me and got covered as well. That’s called “doing your job.”
