So I thought I would put together an architectural job “starter kit” of all the things you should be paying attention to if you’re planning on getting a job at an architectural office. My experience demands that I champion the advantages of working in a small firm, it’s what I know and love.

A while back I wrote a post titled “ Architectural Interns ” where I stated: Other than slowing things down, interns aren’t very useful in small firms because we run fast and lean. The first year of college flew by, but before summer 2012 arrived, Michael invited me to be an intern at his firm.

It’s difficult to run an architecture firm, but if you properly educate yourself in the basics of business (You’ll need to educate yourself on this topic because our architecture schools have decided that it’s not important enough to include in their programs.); Only then, will you succeed.
